GOSHEN – Orange County has contracted with Emergency Communications Network for its CodeRED high-speed telephone emergency notification services.
CodeRED is an emergency notification service that will allow county officials to notify residents and businesses by telephone, cell phone, email and text message with time-sensitive information and emergency notifications to targeted areas at a high rate. Residents and businesses may register for CodeRED at https://public.coderedweb.com/cne/BFDE3B5F37DC .
The service is also accessible via the mobile app at http://ecnetwork.com/codered-mobile-alert-app/ .
Only those who sign up will receive the notifications.
“Notifying the public of threatening weather or dangerous events in a timely manner is crucial,” said County Emergency Services Commissioner Walter Koury.
