L-R: Maisano, Vanderberg, Kaplowitz

WHITE PLAINS – The Westchester County Board of Legislators reelected Democrat Michael Kaplowitz as chairman and Republican James Maisano as vice chairman on Tuesday.
“Working together we have proved that bipartisanship works,” Kaplowitz said. “We have established a track record of tackling tough issues and facing challenges with pragmatism and professionalism.”
Maisano said the legislature has “distinguished itself as a thoughtful, professional, collaborative regional government where compromise is valued.”
Sunday Vanderberg, the legislature’s deputy clerk for the past six years, was named clerk of the board.
