KINGSTON – The Appellate Division of State Supreme Court affirmed the guilty plea conviction of a man on two grand larceny charges for misappropriation of trust funds.
Between February 2005 and December 2008, Matthew Kranenburg committed several frauds and larcenies while working as a private contractor. In all, he defrauded his victims out of over $280,000. A prior felony offender, Kranenburg was sentenced in Ulster County Court to consecutive state prison terms of two to four years.
On appeal, he argued his sentencing was excessive. The appellate court rejected the argument.
