ALBANY – The Village of South Blooming Grove has been granted state permission to operate and manage its sewer district according to its own codes and laws.
Mayor Rob Jeroloman said the new law is significant as South Blooming Grove is the first and only village in the state that has both a water and sewer district.
Jeroloman praised by Democratic Assemblyman James Skoufis and Republican Senator William Larkin with shepherding the measure through the state legislature.
“This is a good example of how bi-partisan cooperation successfully gets the job done for constituents,” the mayor said.
