Fourth person arrested in Town of Newburgh bank robbery

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A fourth
suspect, a woman, was arrested in connection with the December 16 robbery
of the Sterling Bank branch in the Town of Newburgh.
Shaqueena Beard, 21, of the Bronx, was charged with robbery and grand larceny for “acting in concert” with three men to commit the robbery.
They were arrested within hours of the crime after a search involving several police agencies. Most of the several thousand dollars taken in the heist has been recovered, Police Chief Michael Clancy said.
Beard was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
