HYDE PARK – State Police are looking for a man, who tried to rob
a store clerk in Staatsburg Tuesday night and fled after the victim tried
to overpower the man and struggled with him. During that fight outside
the Route 9 Mini Mart Citgo Station on Route 9, the suspect’s shotgun
fired one round, which struck the ground.
The suspect is described as about five feet, 10 inches tall with a thin
build and wearing a camouflage mask and clothing.
The man fled northbound on Route 9 in a dark colored vehicle with orange
New York plates.
