CORNWALL – The 105th NY Air National Guard stationed at Stewart Air National
Guard Base near Newburgh and fourth grade students from Lee Road Elementary
School in Cornwall, helped load about 250 Christmas trees onto FedEx trucks
Monday morning.
The trees, donated by Farmside Acres, are destined for military families
at Rock Island Arsenal, an active U.S. Army facility on the Mississippi
River in Illinois.
This is the seventh year Farmside Acres has been running its “Trees
for Troops” donation.
