Pedestrian killed by train identified

TOWN OF ULSTER – A man who was killed Friday evening by a train on the tracks off Ulster Avenue just east of Spiegel Brothers Paper Company in the Town of Ulster has been identified as Zahmek Blakely, 19, of Kingston.
The 6:30 p.m. incident on Friday, November 13 involved the man who was leaving work in the area when he was walking south in the gauge of the tracks. He was struck by a southbound train in the CSX yard and at the time it is believed he was wearing ear buds.
