Man charged with doing donuts on soccer field

CALLICOON – A 20-year-old Howard Beach man was committed to the
Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail after he was caught doing
donuts on the soccer field at a town park in Callicoon Center.

Callicoon town officials had spotted a Ford Explorer doing donuts on the
field and Town Highway Superintendent Kris Scullion detained the driver,
identified as Nicholas Carbone, while Town Supervisor Tom Bose called
the police.

Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies charged Carbone with felony criminal
mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Damage to the soccer field was believed to be over $3,000.
