DOVER – The New York State
Board of Regents has given Olivet University the green light to offer
courses at its Dover site.

The university, which is based in California, also received re-authorization
to continue offering its Master’s-level educational courses in New
York City.

State approval gave Olivet, a private Christian college, the OK to offer
seven courses from its Master’s of Divinity degree program in Dover,
the former site of the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center.

The Master’s of Divinity course enrollment in Dover will be capped
at 50 students for the first year and increase to 100 after five years,
with classes initially being held in the campus chapel building, a 30,000
square foot facility on the 500-acre property.

The courses will be available to students already enrolled in Olivet’s
programs on-campus in California or online, who are interested in studying
in Dover for one year.
