KINGSTON – Four candidates were running for two Woodstock Town Board seats in Tuesday’s elections; however, the printed ballots said “Vote for one.”
Deputy Democratic Ulster County Elections Commissioner Jim Gay called it “a regrettable typo,” but said it was being addressed at the four polling locations in the town.
Gay said poll inspectors were instructing everyone who came in to vote to choose two candidates, not one, and signs were put up informing voters to select two candidates.
Laura Ricci and Jay Wenk were running on the Democratic and Working Families lines and Janine Fallon-Mower and Kenneth Panza ran on the Republican lines.
Ricci and Wenk were the successful candidates in Tuesday’s election.
