WASHINGTONVILLE – Village of Washingtonville Police officers saved a 30-year-old man by administering the anti-opioid drug Narcan to counter the effects of a possible overdose.
Responding officers found the Blooming Grove man inside a Washingtonville residence on the floor unresponsive, cyanotic, with shallow, infrequent breaths and constricted pupils.
Prior to the arrival of emergency medical service personnel, the officers administered Narcan and the individual regained consciousness and his condition improved.  He was transported by ambulance for further medical treatment.
