BEACON – A four-story boutique hotel is in the early stages of construction at 151 Main Street in Beacon.
The 12-room hotel will be upscale and include a spa, said City Administrator Anthony Ruggiero.
“I believe the focus is going to be on bringing people up from New York City so they can enjoy all of the tourism – the restaurants, the art galleries, the hiking, they will also, from my understanding, since it’s in the middle of the city and they don’t have parking, they will be offering a car service to individuals to pick them up and bring them around,” Ruggiero said.
Another hotel is proposed for the east side of Main Street near the old theater. The Roundhouse Hotel at the west end of Main Street was constructed in a former industrial building on the Fishkill Creek.
