Varricchio
CARMEL – Long-time Newburgh businesswoman Jill Varricchio has been
named president of the Putnam County Economic Development Corporation.
Varricchio, a marketing entrepreneur, will be “a great asset”
to the EDC, said Putnam Executive MaryEllen Odell. “Her marketing
background and knowledge of the development process will give her the
tools to execute the strategic plan the organization put in place.”
Varricchio has been owner and president of Concept Promotions since 1985
and is its sister company D&D Mailing Services. She has developed
and implemented national marketing campaigns for companies the likes of
Sylvania, Tamko and Cellular One.
Acting EDC Chairman Jeff Kellogg said Varricchio is the right fit for
the job.
The top position at the agency has been vacant since Meghan Taylor was
named as regional director of the state’s Economic Development Corporation.
