Malhorta and Vasudevan survey the site

NEW WINDSOR – Mukesh Malhotra and V. Vasudevan are contractors in India. They wanted to expand their enterprises to the USA and after doing their homework, decided on the area immediately around Stewart Airport.
They broke ground on Sunday for the first of 25 upscale houses on an 81-acre parcel in New Windsor.
Malhotra said they believe the close proximity to Stewart Airport will be a draw for the new homeowners because of its bright future.
“The three other airports – Newark, JFK and LaGuardia, they are operating almost at capacity and there is absolutely no way that New York can stick to those three airports, and this the only very big, proper airport available within the New York area. It is inevitable; it has to develop.”
Maholtra said their residential project will hopefully motivate them to develop other projects, including commercial ventures, given that the governor wants to expand the cargo opportunities at Stewart.
