NEW WINDSOR – Next year’s New York Air Show at Stewart Airport is scheduled for the end of August 2016, but ticket sales are going like gangbusters already.
The show, on August 20-21, will be bigger and better than this year’s, late this summer, said Stewart General Manager Ed Harrison.
“They have sold over $10,000 worth of tickets already,” Harrison said. “The venue will blow your socks off. It will be announced in December but I guarantee you it will be bigger and better. We look at this as not only an air show, but as an incubator for the aerospace industry. We are talking to European manufacturers about showcasing the latest and greatest technology that they have and Stewart Airport would be their venue to show the world what they have.”
This year’s air show, the first at the Newburgh area airport in years, drew crowds estimated at 20,000 people each day and tens of thousands more watching from off-airport.
