New Jersey woman arrested for setting Omega Institute fire

CLINTON – State Police
have arrested a 29-year-old Piscataway, New Jersey woman for allegedly
starting the fire that destroyed a cabin at the Omega Institute in the
Town of Clinton on Sunday morning.

Troopers arrested Tracy Piwowarczyk for intentionally starting the fire.
She was charged with arson and three counts of reckless endangerment,
all as felonies.

The reckless endangerment charges stem from the fact that there were three
people in the cabin at the time of the fire. Piwowarczyk was arraigned
and committed to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail
or $100,000 bond.

State Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Cause of Original Team
and the West Clinton Fire Department.
