POUGHKEEPSIE –
The Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center has arrested a Town of LaGrange
man following an investigation into allegations of child sex abuse.
Charged with felony sexual abuse and misdemeanor endangering the welfare
of a child was 59-year-old Gregorio Barbieri.
The investigation began on September 21 after a report from the state’s
central registry alleging the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old child. Barbieri
was identified as the adult involved.
On September 24, he was brought in for questioning and later arrested
and charged at the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
He was arraigned and released to the supervision of the Dutchess County
Department of Probation and Community Corrections.
