STEWART AIRPORT – The
general aviation parking area at Stewart Airport is loaded with over a
dozen aircrafts from foreign nations.

Each fall when the UN General Assembly convenes, several of the foreign
dignitaries are dropped off in Manhattan and their official government
jets are taxied to the Newburgh airport where they are parked for the
duration of the session.

Atlantic Aviation, one of the airport’s fixed base operators, handles
the arrangements for parking and refueling, if required.

The aircraft also mean additional landing fees for the airport.

Parked on the highly secure Air National Guard side of the airport is
Air Force One, which most years also parked at Stewart while the president
attended the General Assembly session.
