Halstead
LIBERTY – Village Police in Liberty arrested a local man after an investigation into a residential burglary.
John Halstead, 20, was charged with entering a home on Lincoln Place in the village and stealing several items including jewelry, video games and other electronics. He was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Officers were able to recover much of the stolen property.
Liberty Police investigated the incident in conjunction with the State Police.
