MONTICELLO – Two months after Sullivan County’s Republican Election Commissioner, Rodney Gaebel, passed away, a successor was confirmed by the county legislature on Thursday.
Lori Benjamin has not worked in the county office, but says she brings a lot of good experience, thanks to others she has worked with.

had a lot of tutelage under them.”
Benjamin said she has a very positive relationship with the county’s current Democratic Election Commissioner, Ann Prusinski.
Benjamin said she became active in politics at the local level in the Town of Thompson, almost two decades ago, and has been secretary of the county GOP committee for several years.
