GREENPORT – Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a passenger in a car that was parked in front of a business on Fairview Avenue in Greenport and charged him with felony and misdemeanor drug possession.
Police recovered 24 bags of heroin along with hypodermic needles and cash.
Hakim Myrick, 25, of Hudson, was charged following an investigation. He is in the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Assisting with the investigation were sheriff’s investigators assigned to the Drug Enforcement and Education Unit and the Columbia County District Attorney.
