SUFFERN – Village Police in Suffern have arrested one teen and are looking for two other men in connection with an armed robbery in the village on Friday.
A 19-year-old man who rents a room at 5 Riverside Drive told officers Stanley Pascal, 17, called him and asked if he could come over. The victim agreed and a short time later, Pascal showed up with two other men, both with their faces covered. They allegedly pulled a gun, threatened to kill the victim, pistol-whipped him causing facial injuries, and stole his cell phone, $850 in cash and his wallet.
On Saturday, officers located Pascal on Riverside Drive, took him into custody and charged him with felony armed robbery, burglary and criminal facilitation.
The investigation is continuing in an attempt to identify the two other suspects.
Police said the incident was not a random crime and it appears the victim was set up by a person he knew.
