Confiscated weapons
HIGHLAND – Lloyd Town Police have arrested
a Saugerties man on charges that he possessed weapons and drugs when found
in his vehicle parked at Berean Park after it was closed on Sunday, August
30.

Police said Jason Hinchey, 43, was found in
possession of approximately 30 assorted knives, smoke grenades, bandanas,
gloves, three BB guns in the form of handguns, handcuffs, a holster, three
New York City probation officer badges, a toy sheriff’s badge and
a small NYPD badge, a police flashlight and a billy club, over $1,500
in cash along with other miscellaneous items.
Hinchey was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending a
future court appearance.
Police are investigating how Hinchey came into possession of those items.
