Highland man charged with charging over $9,000 on stolen credit card

TOWN OF ULSTER – Town of Ulster Police arrested a Highland man for allegedly stealing a credit card belonging to a local not-for-profit agency and making purchases of over $9,000.
Bryan Vargas, 31, of Main Street in Highland, was charged with the felonies of grand larceny, forgery and criminal possession of stolen property.  He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
The investigation began on August 6 and Vargas was arrested on Friday, August 28.
