Man charged with leaving Walmart without paying for $1,400 worth of electronics

TOWN OF ULSTER – Police in the Town of Ulster have arrested a Kingston man on a felony grand larceny charge for allegedly walking out of the Walmart store without paying for $1,400 worth of electronics.
Craig Demarest, 45, of West Chester Street was arrested Thursday afternoon, August 27 following an investigation into a complaint filed by the store on August 19.
Demarest was charged with felony grand larceny and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
