Three charged in Ellenville assaults

ELLENVILLE – Three people have been
arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies following two assaults
in the Ellenville area.

Jyanique Serrano, 25; Daniel Sanchez, 24; and Latrell Perry, 35, all of
Ellenville, were charged, Serrano with harassment and obstructing governmental
administration; Sanchez with harassment and intimidating a victim or witness;
and Perry with assault.

Deputies said on August 17 at about 1 a.m., they were called to Ellenville
Regional Hospital for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that
Perry had assaulted a man causing injuries. Serrano and Sanchez had also
allegedly attacked another man, who sustained superficial injuries.

It was then learned that Sanchez had contacted one of the victims by phone
and threatened his well-being if he called the police.

A short time later, all three were taken into custody in Ellenville.

Perry was released on an appearance ticket. Serrano and Sanchez, both
of whom are on parole for unrelated charged, were remanded to the Ulster
County Jail, Serrano on $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond and Sanchez
on $50,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond.
