TOWN OF RHINEBECK – Rhinebeck Town Highway Superintendent Kathy Kinsella is packing it in after 10 years in office. She announced Wednesday that she would not seek a sixth two-year term this fall.
“I feel the time is right for me to move on and explore other areas of interest,” she said.
Kinsella, who was the first elected female highway superintendent in Dutchess County, said her staff has accomplished much during her tenure.
“Gender doesn’t impact the role of a highway superintendent,” she said. “It’s about dedication, management, and being in touch with ones constituents.”
