Chester man and woman arrested charged with heroin possession

MONROE – Two Chester residents have been arrested for possession of heroin after the car in which they were riding was stopped on Route 17 Sunday evening for several traffic violations.
During the investigation, the female passenger, Ashley Lovelace, 25, told State Police she had heroin in her bra. Troopers also recovered over 1,200 decks of heroin – some 367 grams – in the vehicle.  Lovelace was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. She was released on an appearance ticket.
The driver, Andrew Mitchell, 40, of Chester, was charged with two felony counts and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is in the Orange County Jail without bail.
