MONTICELLO – A Callicoon man was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. Samuel Terwilliger, 26, pled guilty last October, who imposed sentence on Tuesday.
Terwilliger was charged with having online communications with a law enforcement investigator who posed as a 14-year-old girl. Among the communications they had included repeated suggestions by Terwilliger that the minor join him and his girlfriend in a “three-way relationship” and told the girl he wanted to get her pregnant.
On April 14, 2014, the FBI executed a search warrant at his residence at which time he admitted to having engaged in sexually-explicit conversation with a girl who he believed to be about 13 years old. He also admitted to authorities that in October 2013, he had sex with a 15-year-old girl while his girlfriend watched.
