KINGSTON – Town of Ulster Police charged a 17-year-old female with felony assault following an attack on a 60-year-old relative.
Police charged the alleged assailant, whose name they did not make public, after they were called to the HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus for a report of a victim of an assault being treated there.
The girl was also charged with misdemeanor criminal obstruction of breathing and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
Just before noon on Monday she allegedly strangled and assaulted the victim with a blunt object during a domestic dispute at a local motel.
