Man charged with rape in Sullivan County

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a North Branch man and charged him with rape and criminal sexual act, both felonies.
David Conklin, 27, is accused of assaulting a 17-year-old woman at a residence on Buck Brook Road in the Town of Callicoon on July 2.
Conklin and the victim knew one another through a mutual acquaintance.
Conklin was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
