ALBANY – An audit of the Village of
Tivoli’s procurement practices by the state comptroller’s
office has found that it did not always use competitive methods for purchasing
goods and consumable products.
The audit for the practices during the period of June 1, 2013 through July 7, 2014, found that those competitive practices were not always followed.
The key recommendation of the audit is that village officials ensure
the use of competitive methods when procuring goods and services in accordance
with general municipal law and the village’s procurement policy.
