Brown

GOSHEN – Following the retirement of Orange County Court Judge Jeffrey Berry, attorney Craig Brown announced on Monday his intention to run for the office.
The private practice attorney previously worked for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He also worked in Queens as part of the Special Victims’ Bureau and Homicide Investigations Bureau. He also worked in Manhattan.
Brown has the support of retired Orange County District Attorney Frank Phillips, who said it is “critical that a county court judge has the felony experience and legal mind necessary to properly evaluate each case and interpret the law in an equitable manner” and he said Brown has both.
The Orange County and Independence Parties and Sheriff Carl DuBois have endorsed Brown. The Republican Party is holding off an endorsement until a single candidate is on the ballot.
