Salazar

BREWSTER HEIGHTS – A search was launched late Thursday night for a 19-yaer-old severely autistic man who was last seen at his home on Allen Road in Brewster Heights sometime between late morning and early afternoon on Thursday.
The search for Diego Alberto Salazar is in wooded areas north of Route 6 between Carmel and Brewster and involves dozens of personnel from New York and Connecticut, including police, emergency services agencies, fire departments, and search and rescue teams. Bloodhounds and a police helicopter were also brought in to look for the missing man.
Salazar is described as Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes, medium skin tone, five feet, 11 inches tall, and weighing about 220 pounds. It is unknown what kind of clothing he was wearing when he went missing.  Because of his autism, he is unable to communicate verbally and suffers from other health issues, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office noted.
Anyone spotting Salazar is asked to call 911 or the sheriff’s office at 845-225-4300.
