Monticello woman arrested in box cutter slashing

MONTICELLO – A Monticello woman was arrested Monday night after she allegedly slashed a man she knows with a box cutter, Monticello Police said.
Tynesse Murray, 20, was arrested at the scene.  She was charged with felony assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
At 10:30 p.m., police received a report of a stabbing victim at 167 Park Avenue. The man, who had been slashed several times across his left forearm, left bicep and chest area, was transported to Catskill Regional Medical Center by Mobile Medic Ambulance.
