High Falls man accused of threatening to shoot up government offices

KINGSTON – A High Falls man was charged Tuesday morning with a felony of making a terrorist threat.
Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies received a complaint from personnel at the Office of Veterans Affairs stationed at the Ulster County Department of Social Services, reporting Charles DeYoung, 41, threatened to initiate a shooting at government facilities.
DeYoung was later located at an address in the Town of Marlborough and taken into custody.  He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
Deputies were assisted by State Police, Marlborough and Wappingers Falls Police.
