Woman charged with stealing $80,000 from cemetery association

LIBERTY – A Liberty woman is free on $25,000 bond after being charged with stealing approximately $80,000 from the Liberty Cemetery Association.
In March State Police began an investigation into a report that large sums of money were missing from the accounts of the association.  Deborah Lyden, 61, was the association’s treasurer at the time of the thefts. 
Lyden, who was arrested on Saturday, June 13, was charged with felony grand larceny.
