Orange County man arrested for smuggling pill into Ulster Jail

KINGSTON – A Cuddebackville man was arrested on Sunday by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies after he tried to smuggle a Percocet pill into the county jail during an inmate visit.
Charles Morey, 42, allegedly swallowed the pill after bringing it into the jail.
He was charged with felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor promoting prison contraband and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
