TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – A Mahopac woman was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation into her theft of services from her dentist-boss.
Vilma Nokaj, 41, a former employee of a dental office in the Town of Southeast, was accused of unlawfully discounting the dental accounts of eight family members and friends totaling $8,200. The accounts were discounted between January and August 2014.
She was charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records, both as felonies, and a misdemeanor of forgery.
She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
