Bear gives up golf, but remains in area

POUGHKEEPSIE – A bear sighted in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday is believed to have moved out of the northern end of Spratt Park, but was believed to have made its way to the golf course and out of the park, City Police said late Wednesday afternoon.
It was believed the animal was still in the area.
The State Department of Environmental Conservation advised that if seen, leave the bear alone.
