Farmer shoots bison on the loose

SAUGERTIES – A local Ulster County
farmer had to kill four of his bison that got loose on the Thruway in
Saugerties, State Police said Saturday.  The owner responded to the
scene and “humanely dispatched” the animals, troopers said.
There were no accidents or injuries from the animals on the loose.
