Town of Newburgh GOP committee endorses slate of candidates

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Candidates seeking election this fall in the Town of Newburgh have been endorsed by the town Republican committee.
Heading up the slate is incumbent Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio, who is running for his first full term. He served as a town councilman for over 10 years before being selected acting supervisor when former Supervisor Wayne Booth resigned to become deputy Orange County executive.
James Presutti was endorsed for a four-year term as a councilman for the seat once held by Piaquadio.
Scott Manley, a retired Newburgh town police officer, is also running, seeking the council seat currently held by George Woolsey, Sr., who is retiring after serving four four-year terms.
Town Clerk Andrew Zarutskie was endorsed for an eighth two-year term
