Three arrested in connection with Dutchess drug sales

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force culminated a two-month investigation into the sale of cocaine and heroin in the City of Poughkeepsie and Town of Wappinger with the arrests of three people on Monday.
Arrested were Shane Brannen, 31, of Wappinger and Issa Wasi Farji, 39, of Poughkeepsie, both on felony charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance. Brannen is in the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Farji’s bail was set $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
A third person, Haloay Nesheiwat, 25, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. He was issued an appearance ticket.
On Tuesday, June 2, police executed a search warrant at Brannen’s residence in Wappinger where officers seized cocaine, heroin, and packaging material for the distribution of heroin.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force was assisted in the investigation by City of Poughkeepsie Police.
The investigation is continuing and more arrests are pending, police said.
