TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A Plattekill woman faces charges in the Town of Newburgh following a Tuesday morning car accident.
Judith Ahmed, 55, had run off Mill Street at around 7:40 a.m. and struck several mailboxes. She had her grandsons, ages three and seven, in the car. No one was injured.
The investigation determined Ahmed was driving under the influence of drugs. She was charged with two felony counts of aggravated DWI with a child, as well as the misdemeanors of WI impaired by drugs and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
She was released pending a future court appearance
