Bloomingburg man sentenced to state prison for heroin and cocaine sales

MONTICELLO – A Bloomingburg man was sentenced in Sullivan County Court on Wednesday to 13 years in state prison and three years of parole afterwards for sale and possession of controlled substances as felonies.
Smitty Williams, 36, admitted to possessing cocaine with the intent to sell it, after a traffic stop in the Town of Thompson and selling heroin and cocaine on two occasions to an undercover police officer in the Town of Mamakating.  After his first arrest, Williams was released on bail when he sold drugs to an undercover officer.
District Attorney James Farrell said Williams was sentenced as a second felony offender having a previous conviction for possession of drugs in 2008.
