NEWBURGH – Newburgh City Police officers saved a 25-year-old woman found unresponsive and turning blue with a faint pulse by administering Narcan, the nasal drug that reverses the effects of an opiate overdose.
Officers found the woman behind the wheel or a car at Renwick and Little Monument streets with her eyes rolled completely back in her head and displaying signs of an opiate overdose.  Officers administered Narcan and her condition immediately improved as she regained consciousness within minutes.
She was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
