MOUNT VERNON – Three Mount Vernon residents were slashed during a dispute in the 200 block of South 3rd Avenue on Thursday evening and police arrested two people on assault charges.
Authorities said the incident unfolded around 10:30 p.m. when a verbal dispute between several people led to the slashing of a brother and sister along with a Good Samaritan who attempted to intervene on their behalf when the argument became physical.
The victims sustained several lacerations and were treated at area hospitals for non-life threatening wounds.
Bianca King, 19, of Tuckahoe, and Ikeem Mobley, 22, of Mount Vernon, were charged with assault.
The case remains under investigation.
