AMENIA – Amenia Town Supervisor Victoria Perotti has announced she is seeking a second two-year term as town supervisor.  She was first elected to the town board in 2005 and reelected in 2009. She served as deputy supervisor from 2010 to 2013.
As supervisor, Perotti said she has established new financial internal controls for paying claims as per comptroller’s office guidelines and implemented the comptroller’s office 2013 audit recommendations for employee accrued time records.
She said she secured a non-matching Community Development Block Grant of $150,000 from Dutchess County to repair downtown sidewalks and build a new sidewalk to Beekman Park to make the town more pedestrian-friendly.
Perotti said she moved Wassaic Trail to the Train project from preliminary to final design for state transportation review and comments and worked to resolve erosion and vegetative cove problems at the old Amenia landfill.
