Police identify ambulette passenger who died in crash

WEST NYACK – Clarkstown Police on Friday released the identity of a man killed when an ambulette and minibus collided in West Nyack on Thursday as Vincent Careccio, 48, of Pomona.  He was a passenger in the ambulette.
The bus, owned by Brega Transport, was carrying two passengers, a 22-year-old New York City man and a 34-year-old Spring Valley woman.
As of Thursday night, all of the involved people remained hospitalized at Nyack Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation and no summonses have been issued.
